Here's what's happening to my car:

The car goes into anti-theft mode. I have to disconnect the battery for 3 minutes.

The tire pressure monitoring system remains malfunctioning.
Once the battery is reconnected, the mileage drops back to 83,113 every time I disconnect the battery.

And this has been going on for almost two years.

I have a Tiguan here with problems regarding DSG

At first, we had problems with P176E and P176F and P0810 when doing adaptations, the Ecu was sent to service and came back with same error.
We then replaced the ecu and I cloned it from old ecu to new one.

After that we got a new error, now it complains with this error:

10731 - Valve 3 in Transmission Part 1
          P174A 00 [002] - Electrical malfunction
          Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

The parts numbers are as follows:
2x 0BH927339A
1x 0BH927328
2x 0BH927327
and there is a block in the mid with 5 solenoids and this number B160927134140 (couldn't find the part)
Harness Plate 0BH927709A

I had a very good Russian website describing the solenoids etc. but cant find it anymore on Google

I am suspicious about this solenoid: 0BH927339A on the right side but someone in forum mentioned the harness plate.

Is it just a valve or the circuit/harness plate upon the solenoids?
Can someone help me out in this case?

This cars only purpose is so I can learn about mapping / deleting / swapping ECU stuff (and everything else related on the car). If I screw it up, then no big deal. I decided to pick the specific brand Mercedes as my actual car is a much newer one.
 
I now own the (SDConnect C4 I think it is known as). The one that’s in an aluminium box with a big number 02 on the front amongst other buttons and a small screen. Connects to the laptop with a ethernet cable.
 
I think they probably come from China originally.
 
I also have all the related software Xentry / WIS / EPC etc on a laptop.
 
For my first task I want to delete the Swirl Valves as it already has the EGR deleted.
 
So, my big question is mainly where do I start?
 
Is the SDConnect the right hardware to connect to the ECU etc to do this?
 
Is there a sort of de-facto ECU programming software that is mostly used (I keep coming across something called WinOLS though it seems expensive for just playing)?
 
Is there anything weird I need to know about (encryption etc)?
 
I am by trade am Infosec (cyber security) / reverse engineer / software developer, so this is a field I’m used to working in and that I understand a lot about (Just not vehicles).
 
Any help (or even good tutorials you can point me to) will be gratefully received.
