1. Read D-Flash of FRM with X-PROG.
2. Download new X-Prog v5.8.2. Install it.
3. Open D-Flash file in it. Push the TOOLS button & recover eeprom.
4. Write back recovered eeprom to FRM.

Hi!
I investigate a VW Golf4 1.6 16V 2001y AZD engine where 
I have strange DTC set in the ECU.
DTC: 17586  - Linear lambda probe, current circuit, open circuit
                   - Intermittent  

Diag equiment:
- Delphi 
- VCDS
Diag result:
The same result with both diag tool.

What I tried:
- delete DTC - come back after several km driving
- checked the STFT and LTFT - it is ok, no simptoms for a bad lambda sensor B1S1
- disconnected the B1S1 sensor and checked for DTC and STFT was disabled
    immediately and LTFT was in trouble. The new DTC  was set only for the open 
   circuit for the heating element of the B1S1 lambda probe.
- checked for contact, wiring etc. problems - everything is fine.
- checked the B1S1 signal with scope - signal is perfect even when the DTC is set.

Question:
1. For which O2 sensor is this DTC set actually?
2. Am I right: Linear O2S should be a tipical Broadband O2S?
    If yes, than this DTC should be related to the B1S1 sensor,
    Because the B1S2 is a 2 wire ( zirconium or titanium ) sensor 
    described by the wiring diagram of the vehicle.
3. Is there any recall from the manufacturer for this car which 
    is related to this problem by the ECU software?
4. Any suggestion ?
